"No one is a failure unless you try"
The little lady who started it all passed on yesterday... she was the fish who first got me into breeding
She had been having dropsy-like symptoms for a couple of weeks, pineconing scales and bloating, but still acted perfectly normal up until her very last day. I knew she wasn't feeling as well the day before yesterday, so she got to have her favourite, bloodworms, as her last meal. She seemed to pass very peacefully; I found her in her sleeping spot, gills relaxed rather than flared out like I've so often seem in very ill fish. I've read that such symptoms are a sign of kidney failure, so I'm assuming that's the cause in this case. I tried every kind of medicine and treatment I could think of, but nothing helped.
She was such a happy little fish I can't even be too sad she's gone... she lived a great life, and she lives on in all of her 100+ little babies that so many of you have, and now in her grandfry
RIP Mini
Hehe, found some baby pics of when I first got her
