One of my long-time favourites, Altarib, passed away last night. I feel like I had had him forever, probably nearly two years. He was old and slowing down, and I'm sure it was just his time to go... he had a few battles with finrot along the way, but there at the end, he was healthy and as happy as a betta can be. I miss him, but I feel really good about the fact that his passing was peaceful. So long old friend :rip: :flowers:

Poor little guy. He had a good long life though. Rest in Peace. :byebye:

He couldn't have asked for better. Good food, good housing, and a good, long life with a good friend. That's the way all of them should go...quietly, peacefully, after a long life well-lived.

aww, sorry to hear about your betta passing. :rip:

I had one that passed away from old age too. You can know that you gave him
a wonderful happy home.

I always think it's such a wonderful thing when a betta gets to die of old age versus from something that a human inflicts upon him - intentionally or accidentally. That's the way it should be with all of them. If only they were all so lucky.

High fives to you for doing everything so great for him to keep him around that long.
I'm sure when he died he had a smile on his face for all the good times, good food and lots of love he got while he was here.

I'm sure he'll be missed but he'll be waiting for you. :)

:rip: So sorry you lost your little finned friend. I'm sure he had a long and happy life with you and I'm glad he went so peacefully.
