Rio 180

Hi All

Hope you're all enjoying the start of your weekends!?

I'm planning on starting the tidy up of my new (to me) Rio 180 this weekend. It needs a real clean and whilst I do that I had a couple of other questions I was hoping you might be able to answer? So this is the tank...

There is some limescale around the lid. I'm going to avoid limescale remover (for obvious reasons!), but is there anything I could use to make it a bit easier for me? I've seen mentions of lemon juice or vinegar before (I think)?​

The glass itself is also a bit dirty. I'm a bit wary of scrubbing really hard in case I scratch the glass. Is that a valid concern or will it be ok?​

Thirdly, the lid unit (flaps and light bar) also look a bit tired (on the floor in front of the stand on Pic #1). Can I paint these too? I would prefer not to have to pay for replacements.​
