Anyone here have much experience with them? I really like him and he seems to be a great addition to the community. Just wondering if there's anything that they liek to eat that may be different then most Pleco's or if they require anything special that the sites I've looked at aren't telling me. thanks.

It says:
An adaptible omnivore that will eat a variety of foods, besides being a very good algae eater, supplement diet with sinking pellet foods and algae wafers. Vegetables and freeze dried foods also accepted.

You may want to read the eventual size of these plecs (they measure in SL - which means standard length without tail - and are usually quite conservative in their estimations), and if they're anything like the gibbies they're related to - he will grow fast, and will need a much bigger tank very soon. The bioload in your 10g just from a baby plec will be very high too - so keep an eye on those parameters, keep up with the water changes and gravel vacs until you've got him his new home :good:
