Fish Fanatic
I'm currently trying to re-stock my tank after the other fish have gradually dropped off. I'm now left with two featherfin cats and two rams. I'll also want to be getting a schooling fish of some kind, but am not too sure what yet. Had Danios before, but they don't seem to agree with my or my tank for some strange reason, so don't think I'll be getting any of them again. The tank is a 90l.
Anyway, I'm looking for something, possibly a few slightly larger fish. The thing is though, I want a fish that does something. Most of my fish tend to just swim about rather casually, and rarely do anything 'exciting'. I'm thinking that I would like a naturally curious/active fish that will be less likely to sit in it's usual hiding spot, and more likely to swim about actively. Maybe a fish that's very curious about me as well. The Rams seem to fit the bill, and know when I come into the room - normally to hide!
I've had a look in the local shop, but it's hard to say as there are very few, if any hiding spots, and they tend to be a little nervous as I poke my face up to the tank.
Any suggestions of schooling fish will be welcome too. As I said, not too convinced by Danios, but want something a bit more exciting than Neons. I saw some Rummy Noses in the shop, and they looked like they'd fit the bill - anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance
