Hi all,
I recently purchased a second-hand 110 litre juwel tank but when i got it home discovered there was quite a large number of scratches on the inside of the front glass. I was wondering if any could advise me wether or not its possible to remove the background and filter and turn the tank round as i'm sure the back is free of damage. I'm assuming that the background and filter are just held on with blobs of silicone but am unsure about the ability to easily remove these. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am a newbie to the aquarium world and would like my first set-up to look as good as possible.
Cheers
Doug

I took the filter out of mine.
The background they must have put in as they dont come with them as standard. I would have guessed they siliconed it in.
Rip it all out.
They only thing is that the juwel badge will be on the back instead of the front, unless you change that round too.
Cant think of any other reason....

Thanks guys,
i'm gunna have a go at the reversal tomorrow so i'll let you know how it goes. Ive seen that scratch removal before actually but it looks like way too much hard work for me and anyway i think the scratches may be too deep. Only thing i hadnt anticipated is the the top trim which it has cut-outs on the back for cables etc so it all depends whether that will come off - if not i may just have to live with it. Anyway - thanks again for replies, they were much appreciated. :D I'll keep you posted.
Cheers
Doug
