Hello all,

I used to be a member a lllloonnnnnng time ago on the forum.  I used to keep Malawi (there may still be photos knocking about on the forum), but eventually I didn't have time to keep fish and gave it up.  I have been thinking of keeping fish again I have recently bought a used 160 litre Juwel aquarium which had a leak, so I got it pretty cheap.  I repaired the leak yesterday, and after giving it a few days, ill fill it up and get the water cycling for a few weeks.

Its good to be back, and look forward to being a member again.

Thanks

DG

Did you take a break from fishkeeping, or just from the forum?

Hi,

Had a break from the whole lot.  I did have an aquarium screen saver to fill the gap and a couple of aquabots :)

Ive been looking at a planted tank with a few fish.  With the Malawi, it was all rocks and pretty limited to what fish I could keep with them.

Africans are not condusive with plants. They like to rip them up. I feel your pain. I had to do rocks and caves with driftwood. They wouldn't do much else. Glad to see you back. Keep us updated on what you plan on doing.

Thanks m8. Filled the tank but its still got a tiny leak so stripped out the silicone. Will reseal it tomorrow. Wife isn't impressed. She wanted me to buy a brand new tank. I think a big part of the fun is fixing things.

Wives worry about silly things... like 160 liters of water running about on their floors.
