I just noticed on my betta this thing hanging off of him. His poop has never looked like this so I’m super worried, I’m not even sure if it’s poop? It looks like it could be an organ, but I have no idea? Has anyone dealt with something similar?? He’s sort of laying at the bottom of his tank. He ate normally this morning and the usual amount.

I have had something similar to that fall off of my old Betta. No one could ID it for me back then.

Is he eating ok?

I thought it was a prolapsed vent but with further research, I realized that those are pink/white. I did some more research and realized that he’s just constipated. If a betta’s poop is sticking on them and gets to the size of a pea, it’s just constipation. I’m not sure why he was constipated because he ate normally this morning and his usual amount. Maybe I should cut back on his food? Not sure.
