Rescued a puppy

Hey guys and gals-

I saw the other pics of the puppies and I couldn't resist...

Here's our new puppy. We rescued Caruso from the county animal shelter about 3 weeks ago. He's 6 months old and has already been in and out of the pound twice. The first time because the family couldn't afford him, the second because he kept them up at night. Well, DUH! He's a puppy!

Sorry about the big pics. If they're too big, I'll resize them.

The first few weeks were a little crazy, this being our first dog and all, but I guess you have to start somewhere. We had a trainer come in and Caruso has been worlds better now that he has a little structure in his life. I think the fact that he's not sleeping on concrete anymore helps, too.

He snores, too. Loud!

He's a very beautiful dog. Do you know what breed he is, or, if he's a mutt, what breeds he's a cross of? He's simply lovely.

The pound said he's a mix of lab and pit but we think he's got some shepherd in him, too. Who knows, really...

But he's ours now.

His face in the first two pics actually make me think of Jack Russell, but it's hard to tell! Sometimes when you get certain mixes and features in there it can make a dog look like a completely different breed. Whatever he is, he's absolutely adorable! I just love the white blaze down his face. Welcome home Caruso!

He is a pretty dog to came from a shelter. The only dogs at this shelter is either real skinny from starving or covered up with fleas and ticks and mainge. I dont think they ever get any of them homes. It is a shame they put down 700 cats last July. I think they finally quit putting numbers down.This placw has to be one of the heartless places I have ever seen in my life..
