i would like to replace my built in filter/heater system on my tank
i dont wanna spend much and so i need a little advice
the tanks size is 12 x12 x24
im not sure if i will need a new heater as i dont htink it comes with suction pads and gaurd
im pretty sure id need a new filter any ideas?

Which Juwel tank is it? Is it in the Rekord range?

See if you can get a guard with suck-cups to go round ur heater. Also, if your taking out your internal filter, you will defo need a new one. But i'm no expert.

If you want to remove the Juwel heater/filter box then its really simple. You need to get a craft knife and carefully saw through the silicon holding the box onto the glass (dont slice the silicon on the glass join)
Once removed then you can buy any filter you like that is rated for your tank size or larger.

What tank do you have?

If its a small tank Eheim Aquaballs are excellent internal power filters, and are very reasonably priced starting around the £20 mark for the smallest. You will then need a Heater cage for the Juwel heater they are about £5 max + shipping.
