I recently stocked a cycled tank with 5 tigers, 5 green tigers & 5 albino tigers. 1 of the greens died over night, no sign of infection but he did look mishapen from day 1 so I'm inclined to think it was a birth defect.

Can I buy another green tiger & add him to my tank or is there a risk the others will gang up on the "newbie" ?

im my experience the old bunch wont necessarily gang up on the newbie, we've had tigers for nearly 7 yrs now & never had probs with a newbie being the main target of tb bullying, in fact quite the opposite, we've found it tends to be newbies especially if small baby ones who tend to annoy & terrorize the older much bigger barbs!!! for a little while until they are put in their place & settle down.

Did you end up getting another one? You have so many others that if you got another one of similar size, I think it would be fine.

Did you add all of those fish at once? That would have been a huge overload on your filter. An ammonia spike might have killed it.

Edit: I see that the tank is roughly 40g. That's a lot of fish to add to a 40g at once.
