I currently have a 140L tropical tank filtered by a Fluval 104 MSF and an Eheim Ecco 2231 external filters.
The Fluval is on it's last legs and needs replacing (increasing number of leaks etc). On the other hand, the Eheim continues to be flawless and has convinced me to buy from the Eheim range again
Within the next 1-2 years I aim to upgrade to a 400L tank with a view to keeping discus. Should I therefore be looking to buy a filter from the Eheim Professional or Professional 2 ranges (and if so which one?) or would the largest of the Ecco filters in combination with my existing 2231 be sufficient for a 400L discus tank?
