Can anyone help please.

I have an Intepet Fish Pod 64L (yes I know) and I want to replace the hood that came with it. The hood has two small bulbs with the starter unit and switches in the middle. I have just got an Aquaray SSL lighting bar and need to screw it to the lid, but unfortuantely there is not enough room. I wanted to remove the lights completely and replace with the new one, but its all moulded to the hood.

I was thinking about making my own, but the tank has a bowed front with plastic rim along the top.

Has anyone got any suggestions please

Many thanks

Thought I would bump this as I have the same question - although may have also found an answer.

I have managed to put a T5 bulb inside my hood and keep the T8 for a 'mood light', however the heat from the T5 keeps melting the fittings. It also sits just under the feeding lid and nearly blinds me every time I open it!

My solution may be this: I have found a hood with a T5 bulb fitting and starter built in. It comes with a deeper tank than mine - 60x30x45. Mine is only 60x30x30 but obviously the lid should fit. I have asked the LFS where I could buy the hood by itself but they don't seem to know. Does anyone have any ideas?
