Replacement Aquarium Lids

not sure where to post this so here goes

would any one know where i could obtain a replacement lid for a tank measuring 1000 mm * 392 mm

as i have cracked the one on my tank.

I dont know where you could get one, but a temporary solution is plastic wrap. When my tank lid broke on my hex tank, iused that for about 2 weeks before getting a custom cut glass top.

hi jake the tank is in metric to comply with those idiots in the european parliment weights and measures directive

the tank was made by a company called lite glo.

LightGlo is Hagen Fluval.


If you know what model your tank is, and I'm guessing it is a Fluval Duo Deep 1000 with the LightGlo badge on it, then any Fluval Duo Deep 1000 hood will fit.

The benefit of using a Fluval hood is better lighting than the LightGlo ones. LightGlo is the budget range and, in most cases, only has one light tube whereas Fluvals have two

In fact, the lighting is the only difference between Fluval and LightGlo tanks.

If you have a picture of your hood, I can confirm it for you

the hood has 2 light tubes in the hood and at over £250 for the set up once bought i would not say it was budget lol.
