I dont know where you could get one, but a temporary solution is plastic wrap. When my tank lid broke on my hex tank, iused that for about 2 weeks before getting a custom cut glass top.

What sort/make of tank is it?

Pretty wierd size lol- 39.4"x15.4"

hi jake the tank is in metric to comply with those idiots in the european parliment weights and measures directive

the tank was made by a company called lite glo.

LightGlo is Hagen Fluval.

If you know what model your tank is, and I'm guessing it is a Fluval Duo Deep 1000 with the LightGlo badge on it, then any Fluval Duo Deep 1000 hood will fit.

The benefit of using a Fluval hood is better lighting than the LightGlo ones. LightGlo is the budget range and, in most cases, only has one light tube whereas Fluvals have two :good:

In fact, the lighting is the only difference between Fluval and LightGlo tanks.

If you have a picture of your hood, I can confirm it for you :good:

the hood has 2 light tubes in the hood and at over £250 for the set up once bought i would not say it was budget lol.
