Bought a 70Gallon Aqaurium, That I will be using for My saltwater Setup. Still trying too clean the aqaurium up. The previous owners Used alot of silicon on the inside back glass too stick there aqaurium back picture too...

I,ve been Scraping and wipeing the tank with a putty knife and hot vinegar water off and on all day, got most of the thick stuff, but theres still alot of a gluey residue stuck on the glass that i cannot get off..

Any tips? would like too get this done quick, Getting the tank drilled soon, for the sump.

Thank you

Ive used razor blades on glass all the time to get stuff off and it works great. Use a new blade, keep it at an angle, and keep it wet with glass cleaner helps alot too. as long as you dont use a used one that has a burr in it or scrape it with the corner it wont scratch. Hope this works for ya

You can buy silicone remover, which will dissolve it. Just google "silicone remover" and you should be able to find something suitable.
