I did a search and could not find a discussion about this.
I just picked up a used 50 gallon UniQuarium that needs a bit of cosmetic maintenance before I fill it. The tank has a lot of surface scratches on the inside, like someone cleaned with too rough of a pad. I can't feel any of them and they kind of fade away to fairly unnoticable when wet. I'd like to get it as clear as possible before I set it up. Several acrylic tank manufacturers say they use and recommend Novus polishes. Although I will be working on it while empty, I am worried that these procucts will leave a toxic residue behind.
Does anyone have experience with Novus products?
Does anyone have any advice for removing scratches from acrylic?
Thanks
