Removing My Juwel Filter

I've got the rio 400L. its been set up for over a year and i have discus, apistos and tetras. i'm very pleased with it (and with the filter) and as back up ive got an Eheim 2224. i just think with another external and the juwel filter out it would make more room for more plants. how have you taken yours out!
 
We just slide a knife between the glass and the filter and they come off pretty easily. They only have a small amount of silicone holding them in place.HTH.
 
good craft or stanley knife then a razor scrapper to tidy up any silicone that was missed :good:
