Removing Internal Juwel Filter

I'm just wondering how difficult it is to remove the internal Juwel filter housing, and whether it can be done with an established tank. I won't be able to do it for a while, but I am starting to think that I will want to do it eventually. Might need to start preparing my husband for this idea.

It's easy. It's held on with 3 blobs of silicone, saw through them.

I used a craft knife as its bendy. Just be super careful not to touch the tank silicone beading.

It is possible to remove it from a tank with fish in it, I did. Sawing through the silicone blobs will cause a bit of a tidal wave so do it half way through a water change when the water level is lower.

Great, thank you! I got the tank because I actually liked the idea of everything being self-contained, but I will probably want to change that sometime, and reclaim that space. I just bought a new impeller though, so need to wait to justify that cost.
