Hi All

any tips on removing a glass brace? water will be removed.

the brace is placed ontop of two glass butts each one attached to the sides of the tank. The brace is set with glue

cheers

Why would you want to remove it? If it was put on when the tank was made, then it's safe to assume it was needed for strengthening purposes, and its removal could seriously compromise the tank's strength.

When i was replacing mine i used some thin wire to get between the two peices of glass and pulled it those. It worked a treat cheese wire might be a good place to start.

thanks guy

should have explained - installing a new back ground - with doesnt fit inbetween the braces - hence - removing all the water and wanting to remove a brace, fit background and refit brace - job done

however - want to know the best way of removing the glue from the glass and how best to break the seal in the first place

cheers
