... when I was going to make a 5g mantis shrimp tank? Well, for those of you who haven't seen it in the pics section, it finally happened. It's a really simple setup, just an Aquaclear filter for a 20g and 36W worth of compact fluorescent lighting, but it seems to be working out really well. I hate the arrangement though, I am going to tear all that down and start over soon. There's a pile of frags on the left side of the tank that I haven't even bothered to position because of it :p. Rose keeps spiriting them away as building material.

Barnacle blenny... turns out Rose is kinda a wuss, so they make good tankmates. I'm getting a possum wrasse too, which may merit an upgrade to 10g eventually.... maybe then I could try doing two separate burrows and incorporating a male mantis too, eh? :hey: This species only gets 3" at adult size.

Here's the trick... it's a 5g, and I work at a fish shop . I've probably spent about $30 total on corals for this one, the rest were just tiny frags I found in our sale tanks that employees are free to take, since we don't sell them anyway... yes, even the electric red shroom was free :p
I paid for the xenia, like $5 for the clove polyps, and $5 for some blue zoos I got today.

Wow that is really cheap for corals. I went to a local pet store named Eddies Aquarium up by me. They are selling each frag for 30 bucks.
