Relocating to another state.

Hello, I'm new here to this forum. I am relocating from Arizona to Colorado, I need some advice on how to transport my Cichlids. I have a fifty five gallon tank, two blood parrot cichlids, two turquoise cichlids and one pleco. Please help!

o man...how many hours of a trip is it...if u r driving only a few hours, u could put water from the tank in a bin with the fish and try to save as much water as possible....set the tank up as soon as possible and then add the fish and the water and gradually add more water to the tank if u could only save maybe 25 gallons of the water from ur tank

i hope that makes sense, thats what i did when i moved but i only moved 5 minutes away and it was only a 20 gallon tank

Thanks for the response, the trip takes about 13 hours. If I use an ice chest and some battery powered pumps, do you think they will last thirteen hours in the front seat of a moving van?
