hey guys, i want to further increse the lighting in my tnak, i have already added an extra tub along the fornt wall of the hood, is there anything i can do to add furtehr light to the tank??

Im in the same boat here,so im building my own hood. I think the two tubes just about max out the space in the record hood.

have you tried the juwel reflectors? or just put tin foil in the hood

According to this thread Tin Foil only reflects 40% whereas Mylar reflects 97% !

both lights already have relfectors attached to them!

Cheers OTP , yup same here too ,have reflectors fitted. The record hood has a ballast built into the hood thats in the most *@"&*@* place, and as its a narrow long tank -Size: 101 x 46 x 31 cm its not the best hood to fettle with.
So its deffo a diy job.
