Hi

My new red male is obsessed by his reflection, he seems convinced it's another male and spends all his time up and down at one end of the tank. I've tried putting something over the end of the tank, but he still does the same. He's not eating, is only interested in chasing his reflection - any suggestions on what I can do to help settle him down?

Thanx in advance :)

ps - got a pic of this boy, just trying to get one of the blue, then will post :)

What kind of tank do you have?? Could the tank be reflecting his image back to him when the lights on?? What if you turn the light off? Is he still obsessed??

I only turn the light to my tank on if there's enough like the room so it doesn't cause the betta's image to reflect back to him.

If your betta constantly sees his reflection he will be stressed and might even bite pieces out of his tail. Try moving the tank somewhere else and seeing if that helps out.
