will a half-black angelfish be ok in a reef tank? i've heard that you should use caution when adding dwarf angels to a reef tank.

The only info about their compatibility I can find on the Centropyge vroliki is:
Keep with caution in a reef aquarium; may eat/nip large-polyped stony corals, soft coral polyps & clam mantles.

Nice looking fish!

I have to say that I think your 25 gall tank is way over stocked already with 6 chromis and a hawkfish - that is 23" of fish where the maximum recommended in a 25 is only 12" for fish only or 6" for reef!

The same warnings apply to all the dwarf angels.

I want a flame angel badly, but have been very hesitant.

My Cherub/Pygmy/Argi angel is fine in my reef. Nips once in a while at stuff but has caused no damage and I believe the nipping is really catching pods, not eating corals. But I belive the Pygmy Angel is recognized as more reef safe than some others. I know a lot of folks with flame angels no problem, GL.
