I just done a water test and the PH levels ar 8.0
how can i reduce this all the other readings were fine

A water change, assuming the water you use to change it with has a lower pH than 8.0 can lower the pH in your tank.

I would suggest going to your LFS and buying some driftwood through. Driftwood lowers the pH naturally.

finch i done a 40% change 3 days ago i think i live in a acidic water area

thanks for the dritwood tip

Peat moss is another natural acidifier, which can be placed in your tank. Seachem makes some buffers that will lower your Ph as well. I have been using the buffers and have never had a problem. I also have a lot of wood. Between the two my Ph is 6.6. If you can't find these items in your lfs, then check out an online store like www.liveaquaria.com or www.bigalsonline.com.
