Hi guys, just wondering the best way to help reduce my nitratelevels?? my nitrite is fine but nitrate a little high.

cheers :good:

assuming your tank was properly cycled, all you need to do is keep up with your water changes, and ou should not have any issues with nitrates.

how often do you change your water?

you can also add a bunch of live plants to your tank. live plants will feed on the nitrates, and reduce the nitrates further, but there is no replacing WC.

Agree with BA and Robby, nice deep gravel cleans (or sand surface cleans) during a good sized weekly water change are the way to keep nitrates under control. The nitrates are only one of the many chemicals that need to come out of the tank so they won't build up.
