Never achieved near zero nitrate and ammonia levels in my big cichlid/catfish tank and have added plants, both terrestrial with submerged roots and aquatic plants. So far I’ve added pothos & Lucky Bamboo roots & several anubias & Java ferns. Found a cool fish lamp, added a grow light, & hung it over the tank which doesn’t get much ambient light.

I love your lamp!

in order to maximize bottom space for the fish, I ordered a pair of 24 inch hi flat 1/4“ wide acrylic pieces that I want to insert at the front tank corners. Plan is to tie Java ferns along pole. Any ideas on how to stabilize it top & bottom? This tank has a glass hinged lid & the water level is high due to the sump & wier.
thanks. 🙏🏻

you have a rug on your wall?
the only people that I know still do that are russian villagers 🤣

I think some floating plants with large roots like water sprite would look good and also help with the parameters
