I think I already know the answer to this, but I just wated to check.

I'd like to use an Eheim 2213 in a new tank I'm making for my frogs. The tank dims are only 18"x24", with about 7" of water (24" overall height). The return flow will be split into 2 lines; one for a waterfall and one dropping back into the main body of water. If I use a valve to control the flow, will the back pressure harm the pump?

Thanks

I know of people who do run their filters much lower than spec and they don't seem to have problems, but I don't have a definitive answer.

Incidentally I have a 2213 and it has taps with it, so you wont need a valve.

Mine has the taps as well, but I'm leaving those for connection only. The split return lines need to have seperate controls so I don't get a geyser instead of a waterfall :D
