I have 2, a male and female.
The male keeps trying to attack the female

What should I do, I dont want it to kill its mate?

Some aggression is normal, but if the female is getting injured then you may need to put in a divider or seperate them into differen tanks.

I should add that your tank should be quite heavily decorated to provide hiding spots for the female.

There is a few spots for her to hid but not enought, having just bought a new tank, she will have to wait till next pay day!
