Red tailed black sharks

hi all i really loev this fish and i would like to see other peoples RTBS i will really appreciate it and i would put my own up ehre but i cant afford a digital camera

vmong, digital cameras are coming down all the time now...can get one thats fairly decent depending on where you live for around $100. I have a Nikon Coolpix that I was able to get for $129

yeah i guess i will get a digital camera then i have the £££, i will try and get my parents to get one and i will persuade them with the benifits
when i see peoples tanks they look soooooo good mine is rubbish. mines fairly small it only has very thin gravel so o increase the swimming space, a filter that is too big in proportion to the tank its a fluval 3 in a 24 inch tank it takes about 1/7th of the tank and i just took out the drift wood as it made the water tanned and replaces it with a tree root that cost me £9 itw nice as my RTBS can go in and out and it looks great it would be better if it was wider!!! i saw a bonsai tree on a slate but it was far too expensive!

well this 1 is an old picture of mine when it was only around 2 inch and its tail was more see through than red its closer to 3 1/2 - 4 inch now and its tail is bright bright red

Heres one of my RTS. I have a total of 3 in me tank. They are really beautiful fish. This one has more color than the other 2, his body is more black and his tail is more red. The other 2 have a more gray color body and a more orange tail.

at night time my one looks silver but on normal daytime it looks great. its very nce to see others fish. blackwidoe you one looks stunning i mean how do you get the tail so red? my one is more bright orange than red and the body is never pitch black unless the light is off. does the lighting matter becasue i just have a normal light i want to get a light that is floresent or looks purply

Here's a pic of my Rainbow Shark. He's 5" in length, and never stopps whipping through the plants. It's the most active of all my fish.

Notice the GloLight Tetra to the left of the Rainbow Shark's head...

He was a much darker black until the addition of the German Blue Rams a couple weeks ago. He chases the Rams none stop, lightning fast! A solution is in the works...

OH THEY ARE ALL SO GOURGOUS! I would give you a pic of my new red tail black shark, but she is very shy at the moment, but it shouldnt take too long to get her tamed, my old one was a good 5 inches and he was lovely, pitch black, bright red fin and a strong large top fin (Cant remember the name of the fin ), but i had to get rid of him, got to violent and kill two fish, but every new red tail black shark is different and so i am hoping this new one will be better behaved, by the way, if you couldnt tell, i love red tail black sharks

I actually just took my rainbow shark back to the LFS for a future trade to give it a better home. I had him for about 4 months. It's got something against the German Blue Rams, not to mention it chews half my plants off at the base. It's always been extremely active in the aquarium, but never really gave chase to anything. Since the Rams came in a couple weeks back, the shark would spend half the day terrorizing the Rams. Both the shark and the ram's lost their colour's showing stress. The Rainbow Shark was the most entertaining of my fish to watch beforehand, with the exception of my killifish. I told the LFS owner that if he hangs on to the shark for a couple weeks before putting it up for sale, it should get a lot of it's dark black back enabling him to sell it for a better price, given the size and brilliant red of it's fins. Once it sells, I get a store credit for part of what he gets for it. He's got it in a 70G with only a few other fish, so it should relex a bit (I hope). I'm in the LFS at least once a week to pick the owners brain (and go broke), so I'll kep checking on the shark to see how it's colour's are doing.

well my red tail does get stressed and I have seen him turn dang near white as for the tail I looked and looked until I found the truest red I could find. And ty for the compliment
