Red tail shark

Hey guys
Has anyone who has or had a red tail ever seen it eat? Not once have i seen him eat during feeding .
i have tried flake,catfish pellets, bug bites, cucumber and blood worm.
Im guessing he is eating somthing because he is still alive and growing

I kept a RTBS a very long time ago - probably 15 years ago. That being said, he was a fun little creature and I did see him eat. He ate enough that he was nice and fat as he grew. Being an omnivore, they can eat just about anything.

I would suspect that he's munching when you are not looking - if he appears to loose weight and/or develops symptoms of illness then we might have an issue.

Not a red tail, but my rainbow shark would come right to the surface for flake food.

A fine specimen you have there...I wouldn't worry, it's obviously doing well and getting nourishment

Mine wont come near the surface just swims in and out of the rocks at feeding
