help!!! my red tailed shark as been in my 10 gallon tank for two weeks and he is terrorising my four red eye tetras, what can i do? will putting another fish with similar temprament stop him/her bossing? or do i take him out.

Red tail sharks grow up to 5" and can only really be kept singly, I'd suggest you take him back to the store unless you plan on buying a larger tank in the near future. They're also not the best of community fish :)

red tail sharks are very intolerant of their own kind let alone other tankmates. can be aggressive. had good luck with one in an mbuna tank.

Red tailed sharks can be very aggresive, you'll also notice if another fish is injured or dying they will try to suck the body slime off them!!!

If you like the look of him the rainbow shark is very similar (fins and tail are red) and he's not as agressive.

Only keep one in the tank though.

I agree with William though..unless you plan on buying a bigger tank, they grow a little bit too big for a 10 gallon tank.
