I was lookin at my tank last night and it seemed to me that the redness of the red tail shark had kinda become white. Its tail was never a strong red colour but it seemed much more whiter?

The rest of its body was fine, it kinda seemed strange cause when the bala sharks were neer it, it did not push them away like it normally does.

So i changed the water, only like 15%. today i looked at it, and its fin has become red again!

anyone had similar problem?

thanks

This is usualy a result of stress and/or illness bad water conditions (IMO).

When I brought my RTS home from the lfs his tail was very pale, but once he settled in it went back to normal.

Hi bruce,

How often do you usually do water changes and have you tested the water? - as TAA says it could have been down to stress through poor water conditions

:)

I can tell the very minute something is wrong with the ph whe the redtail sharks tail turns pale looking I can get the ph fixed and his tail goes to a beautiful red.
