I have noticed that my Red Tail likes to nibble on my ornaments and rocks where some brown algae is growing. I searched online but found only one page that says they're partial to eating algae. I feed that tank flake food and mosquito larvae every few days but the shark seems more interested in the algae.

I'm not to sure if they eat algae....i've had mine for quite some time now and he just seems to go over everything with his mouth lookin for food...And if he does eat algae ..than it isnt much as ive still got to clean it out :p

yea samething with my shark...he always seems to go for the algae then the food.
