I looked them up on the internet and one site said they grow 3 inches and another said 6 inches, which is it?

Are they a totally freshwater puffer?

How many would I get in a 180 Litre (40Gallon), or can't they be kept together, would it have to be the only thing in the tank?

Why do you think it's crap? It's the best info for puffer profiles & IDs that I've seen yet.

In my personal experience w/the Fang's puffer (Tetraodon cochinchinensis), it is a strictly FW puffer, that grows to 3". A 40g should be fine, but smaller will work too, as they are lurker predators. Mine hangs out in his flowerpot cave most of the day. He killed a tank full of fish, so no tank mates at all. He eats pretty much any pufferfood my others eat.

Wow, great site! I haven't seen that one before, seems to have good and correct information, ven if the colours are a little stressful on the eyes!

Is that your site, Jeni? It's just there seems to be a lot of links to your forum on there. ;)

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, crackmonkey, but I don't know anything about Tetraodon cochinchinensis.

LOL, one of my biggest fans... er Mods, put the Puffer List together. :D
