hi all im back i havent posted in a while now but i ave been hidin in the shadows poppin in every so often but something i found on the web while searchin about on lowering nitrates i found that red sea make a thing called red sea N03 P04 nitrate reducer after reading in to it on fourms it seems to work very well infact most people are gettin nitrates down to as low as 0.1ppm
i came on here to see if anyone had used it or know about this as im thinkin of avin ago with it the only thing is that u need a high range nitrate and phoshpate that can test for 0.1ppm and i cant find one that does this cheap the only one i can find one that is made by red sea called algae control which is the one they rececommend to use but its £41.99 just to test for nirtate and phosphate not anything else which is a bit much so if anyone could point me in the right direction would be great.
Also the red sea reef care program has another product which is called the foundation stage which tests for Calcium Magnesium KH / Alkalinity and is stage 1 of the program i dont know to much about this tbh as i have mainly reserched the no3 po4 nitrate reducer which is stage 2 of the program i havent had time to find out about the other stages but i know there is at least 4 stages stage 3 adds the provides the carbohydrates, vitamins and amino acids that u need to fuel coral metabolic processes and stage 4 that inproves the colours of the corals if any one has any info on stage 3-4 i would like to hear as im going to try stage 2 and if it works as good as i have been readin then defo going to try the rest of the program also what do u guys think?
