Hi All
I purchased the Olympus Mu8000 prior to going away to the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh in the hope of getting some decent underwater shots. I am not 100% convinced that I got the hang of underwater photography; it's all about the light, and the flash on the Mu8000 just isn't powerful enough - but for a £200 point and shoot, with water resistance to a depth of 30 feet, it was the ideal choice for me, a total newcomer to underwater shots.
The resulting shots from the Mu8000 need a fair amount of noise reduction on them, and the camera is not the easiest to focus underwater. I also found that the underwater WB is not that good and needed a fair bit of correction in pp.
Also; I have many shots of fish I am unable to identify - so I am hoping that the marine/tropical fish experts on here may be able to help me identify some of the species I managed to capture?
I did manage to get a few half decent ones, and I'll update this thread with them in due course.
In the meantime, here's one... I think it's a Red Sea Polyp Butterflyfish. More in time.
