Has anyone had experince with this tank. Can you give any views on the equipment with it and wether is just an all round good tank to have.
P.S pictures would be appreciated :)
Thanks

i still the the jbj ones are cooler since you can buy it with MH. Just stick a saffire skimmer in one of the compartments. I think jbj is coming out with a nano with a skimmer.....

Do you think it worth getting one... i only really want to keep at least 5 corals (would an anome be ok) 2 clownfish butterfly fish firefish or would it be a waste of money in a year when its fully stocked?

Cheers

If you were to buy the bits seperate then you would end up with a bigger tank for the same price! Not worth it IMO

True but i was thhinkg more of what it would look like if i went custom because u would c pipes etc, and if i got abigger one it would cost more for LR and the ongoing exoenses or a larger tank.

I would ditch the anemone idea for now. There is an order of doing things. Clowns dont to host an anemone. The butterflyfish are difficult to keep and especially not in a nano. The tank will do the job providing you can justify the price tag. Liverock and Soft corals such as leathers, mushrooms, zoas, rics and polyps will make a beautiful setup. I am only a novice when it comes to this side of the hobby even though I have gained a vast array of knowledge over the past 30 odd years but doing a little research will help in your quest.

Okay i know clownfish dont need anaomes but i like the.In you experience do you think its best to go for a custom tank?

thanks

just get an aquapod 24 or 28 gallon with a 150 watt MH, less than half the price of this rsm, if you want a skimmer put a sapphire skimmer in the second compartment (fits perfectly) and you still are less than half the price....

Its hard to get those over here, without a shipping fee of like £100000000 well you know what i mean. We can get those fake ones though

the rsm isnt that good, and way overpriced, the 28 gallon i hear needs a chiller from the reviews of people who've had it, if you want to have a nem just get the 24 aquapod w/ 150w hqi and save some money

Like I said I am a Beginner to this side of the hobby (read my post on here)
Plug n Play aquariums have all you need out of the box but at a price.
I prefered to take it slow and buy things as I went along, things that I wanted and not was already there by a manufacteur.
I think the way I'm going about it is all part of the fun.
Also I wanted a piece of furniture to compliment the house and its decor.
I've had a look at the P&P models such as the one you mentioned and they seem pretty plastic and are acrylic tanks (will they last the test of time...who knows) If something breaks/malfunctions in say 5 years down the line are you still going to be able to obtain parts for that particular model or will it be superceeded by a newer more sophisicated one..... and your tank is obsolete,
IMO people are in such a hurry these days and want everything, there, on a plate and the quicker the better I suppose you could call me old skool. I like to take it slower and that way enjoy the experience a lot more,

there was a real problem with it earlier this year. It was gettig way overheated and there was a recall on some. Red Sea supplied most LFS with fans to give to RSM customers
Other than that ive heard its a good tank :good:

I have one for about 6 weeks now and it's brilliant! Currently just has the clowns and LR in but was setup since October in my shop. I'm getting the first inverts for it tommorow. I think they are great systems. Interpet (owners of red sea) are currently shipping out new hoods for every system because of ballast problems with the lights and over-heating problems and noise problems with the fan. Although, I believe they are using customers as guinea pigs which I don't agree with, it is a good system. Chances are if you buy one now it will already have the new lid. Also, check the skimmer as recently a new attachment for it was sent out for all exsisiting models becuase the skimmer wasn't working properly. Again, if you buy a new one, it should already be sorted. I'm having great success with it and my customers at work that have had one are also enjoying them.
