Hi there,

Am a noobie here have posted a few time's .. Am trying to build up a shopping list of ideal parts to make my first marine setup ..
Am starting to understand what the purpose of everything is and there different jobs !//

Have seen a Red Sea Fish Pharm protein skimmer for sale for a decent price..
It's described as practically new and looks clean enough,, Are these decent unit's ?. And will it function well on a 125l tank such as the juwel rio 125 that i plan to get ?? cheers..

This is the actual image.. I cant seem to identify the exact model on the redsea website is it an old style or something ??.
Or is it a X2 ?..

Ok well would i be unrealistic to find a second hand skimmer for around 40 - £50 ??..

Unrealistic for a deltec, be careful buying a cheap brand second hand, sometimes the pumps are really loud and will drive you mad!!

You might want to consider buying a very cheap boyu pump for now, I had one in my orca 550, which was a 126 litre tank, worked fine, did the job :good: and with regular water changes you should be fine - so, I would say, get your yourself a cheap hang-on and then later upgrade when you have more dosh.

Hi there,

Im fairly new and just got my tank up and running. Id say get yourself 100pounds together and possibly get a TCM V2 skimmer. I found my V2 400 skimmer for my 260 ltre tank for 65pounds off ebay.
