Red Plec

Sold a plec as a Red Plec. We got him and his colouring seems to be lighter in some places is this normal? He seems quite happy and normal otherwise.

Well apart from playing dead the other night, after a half hour debate and the introduction of a hand. He soon shot off

Plecs arn't very lively creatures, infact this snail in my tank is more active than my pleco

I don't think there is anything wrong with the colouring as alot of fish have different shades, post some pics of your plec then we can admire

Yeah he isnt the most active but he was semi floating doing the dead look. Plus it was feeding time and hes quite partial to the betta food.

Plecs sold as "red plecs" are often juevinile sailfin plecs, does yours look anything like this;

His markings are not as defined and he is more of a reddish colour, will get pictures today.
