Red Pest!help! Help! Help!

My husband got me a gorgeous platinum koi the other day.. named plisken. plisken came from PetCo. Plisken has mysteriously gone from this fun loving, energetic koi to... simply.. a sickly fish. his fins have become clamped, and his appetite has decreased.. he also has had some red marks appear on the base of his fins... i'm truely worried.. please help me help him get better water perameters are okay.. he's in a 20 gallon tank right now with a 30-40 aqueon filter. and the water temperature is kept at a constant 75F.

How big is it ? Most koi do not like tanks and will get very stressed in them.Can you post pictures ?

It cant be stressed enough,,koi do not do well in tanks.

a small fish needs around 100 gallons and a pond..incredibly messy fish...and it sounds like yours has septicemia..blood poisoning caused by dirty conditions. just because the water looks clean doesnt mean it is.
