hi my fancy gold fish has got red marks on its belie and it just don’t seam to want to do much any more just sits on the bottom but not all the time just a lot any ideas on what it could be ?
the other fish in the tank are fine

Hi,

Could you say how big your tank is and how many fish you have in there?
The more info you can give the more help you can get on here.

The red marks could be nothing or could be septicemia which can be caused by bad water conditions.

Could you get a picture up on here of your fish? This would be a great help!!
Also what do the marks look like? Circles or lines?
Do they seem sunken or more like a lump?
Are they just on the belly of your fish?
Do you see marks in the tail of your fish at all?
What size is your tank?
How often do you perform water changes?

Could you get a picture up on here of your fish? cant see on pic's

Also what do the marks look like? scale size red blotch
Do they seem sunken or more like a lump? neither
Are they just on the belly of your fish? yes

What size is your tank? 30x18x12
How often do you perform water changes? weekly 25%
Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 30ppm, ph 7.5 alk 180, th 120
tank mates are WCMM 5, Danios 4, wight and red Oranda 1, Black moor 1, Hoplo catfish 2, Hillsteam loach 5
Kuhli Loach 2, Amano shrimp 5
fillters are Fluval 4 Plus with spray bar & a elite stingray 10
in the tank i have live plants, sand, slate and bog wood

Id say it was a bacterial infection. Your tank is overstocked and theres not enough being done in the way of water changes.

For now I would suggest doing 50% each day and either thinning out the stock you have or getting more tanks. Do you clean the gravel with a gravel cleaner?

whats the point if the water parameters ok, not being funny but doing a 50% water change daily would that cause the fish more stress?
the tank is looked after v,well water is checked 2 times a week filters done once a week as with the water. as for stock im trying to get rid of the WCMM any one want? free

So how do you check your bacteria level? You cant.

The only way of knowing is when your fish get sick, so to avoid it you must do regular water changes according to stocking levels.

The white clouds arent the problem here its too many goldies.
