Red Hook Silver Dollar Help

I bought 4 red hook silver dollars, and all have been doing just fine until recently, i know the black spots on some of them are normal, but 2 of them have round fleshy patches, they arent red or anything, but they look like a sore. Here is a pic of the worst one.

It looks a bit like columnaris to me, which can show itself in many forms and is a fungal infection/desease;

I personally think it matchs cauliflower desease much more but is quite a rare desease on the whole;

i dont think it is either of those 2 because it is not a fungus type thing, and it is not like an exttra growth, it is like the skin has pealed back to reveal the underneath flesh.
