1. Are True Red Eye Puffers brackish or freshwater?
puffer_true_red_eye_003.jpg

2. Are they aggresive twards each other or other fish?
3. What do they like to eat?
4. Last but not least are they easy to take care of?

im looking into buying some for my 30 gal

1. They are freshwater.
2. They're puffers.
3. Bloodworms, cockles, shrimp, clams, krill, SNAILS.
4. They need pristine water (like all puffs) 50% every week, then there's the diet, they belong in a species tank, Gonna have to breed snails.

But they are worth the extra effort.

Additional:
Carinotetradon irrubesco is very similar to the Lorteti, but slightly smaller (4.5cm), has a red tail and is slightly less aggresive (but only slightly).

This species is more tollerant of others of it's own kind than most puffers, but is one of the worst fin-nippers off all the puffers for non-puffer tank mates.

They are especially fond of bloodworm.
