Red Dwarf Gourami

my red dwarf gourami died today.i took it a continer it wasn breathing but wen i got it out of the water after 10 seconds it would jump back in please can you tell me what could have caused this.and when i got to toilets he was dead then miss him so much

from what i ca tell your stocking wasnt good and this may have stressed the fish out to much

Dwarf gouramis suffer from a virus and tuberculosis and are notoriously hard to keep these days. If you can get healthy stock that aren't carrying either of these problems they will live for a couple of years. But when stressed out are susceptible to diseases and early death. They are mature when you buy them and only live for a couple of years max. If the fish is 12 months old when you get it, then you might be lucky to get 1 or 2 more yrs.
