saw some small ones in my lfs today and was wondering would i be able to put them in my tank its 15 gal with 6 harlequin rasboras and 2 red robin gouramis. would they need sand and would they eat or nip my fish. im also looking to get a few african dwarf frogs wud they be suitable

Red claw crabs aren't fully aquatics and will attempt (and sometimes catch) fish. They may be ok with the gouramis and harlequins as they shouldn't ever be low enough to be caught. But eitherways the crabs shouldn't really be kept in a fully aquatics tanks.

There are special 'biomes' you can get for them that sit on the bottom of the tank and are filled with air that is constantly renewed by an air pump. This solves the need for them to have dry land. But there is still the issue of them fishing, and so they really should be species only.

Agreed, best in a species tank, and I also think they are brackish.

With regards to the 'african dwarf frog', these are more suitable. Make sure you get the dwarf kind and not the clawed kind though.
