im going to get a red clawed crab to put in my 10 gal tank, what would be compatible tankmates???

I really wouldn't put any fish in there that crab will try and catch them because its a fairly small tank and I think the crab needs a land area.

ok second atempt

problem with crabs and fish is, they need different places to live. if you have a brackish tank, and have an area you can place a platform or shelf( covered with sand), crabs have been known to do well. the truth is, however,is. Redclaw crabs, are LAND crabs. ideally they need 1/3 water 2/3 land environment.

whatever you decide, these guys need access to brackish water (1-5ppm). 10ukg should see you with 3-4. i have never seen a crab "attack" a fish. i've seen one nibbling on dead and dying, but have yet to hear of one, witnessed, KILL. given a good "dry area", crabs tend to view the water in the same way as a young teenager sees a bath. (a necessary evil, to be avoided when possible). they eat veg too, well mainly, a bit passed it best, is good. flake and pellets will supplement.

Boboboy, I wouldn't doubt your advice for a second regarding crays, but I think you should read the topic over again. He said crab.
