Does anyone keep these?

Are they suitable for a community tank or will they attack other fish such as kuhli loaches?

Thanks for your time :)

edit: heres a pic for anyone interested

They can grow up to 8 cm / 3 inches

There is someone in here that sells them, I had already enquired about them and thier behaviour...he is: http://www.fishforum...823-anton-cook/

Pm me your email and I'll try to send on some pics he sent me, if I can find them! He has them breeding in a tank with community fish too...as long as the fish aren't fry and extremely small I think they'll be fine. These things eat snails though...

Very cool creatures, I am still tempted to get some myself, or maybe some blue mexican shrimp if I can find them (http://www.shrimp-n-it.com/invertebrates/bluemexican.shtml)

Cheers :)

I'd like to keep bamboo, but being a filter feeder, they'll be a bit vunurable to the rams I think. So I either want red claw macro, blue or as a back up, amano and cherry shrimp :D

never heard of those mexican blue claws they must be quite rare

I hadn't heard of them until a few days back either...a smaller version of the red claw which sounds just perfect...I haven't gone so far as trying to source any yet though. Read the article on them, claws go bright blue in certain situations

Definitely a good choice not to go with bamboo shrimp IMO, good fishkeepers haven't had them last more than 9 months from what I've read, I think they need algae rich environments which goes against what we try to achieve. They don't feed on the left overs as well as other types of shrimp.
