I recently got 2 Red Claw Crabs ( 3 days ago) and I'm having difficulty getting them to eat. I bought Mysis shrimp freeze dried and have been putting it on the land for them to eat. It has been untouched for the 3 days and has been recently replaced(stench reasons). The 1st day i put some in water and it floated. I have never seen them on the land, all they do is hide under filter and crawl up into it while im asleep. Im worried they shall die soon as they aren't eating. However I do see them using there claws and putting invisible food to their mouths.
-Am I feeding them the wrong food? Should i get sinkable food? What food sinks if so? Where should i put the food? Am I impatient?

They do not come out to land to eat. you have to get food that sinks to the bottom and the crabs will pick the food out from the bottom of the water to eat it, usually during the night. Hurry and get sinkable food or they will die because they havent been eating any food on land.

place the food on the waters edge. try not to feed them in the water.
also, do you rehydrate the food first?

I give them sinkable hermit crab cakes. Says it good for red claw crabs on container so.. However I see the male eat the cakes all the time, the female not so much. Does she eat at night? It has been 2 weeks so i think shes eating something.

good question that. I've never noticed any, rhyme or rhythm, to their feeding.
in nature they feed when the tide is low, at the water's edge. so you might try feeding them according to your local tides (you are never more than 30 (ish) miles from the sea, in the UK .)
try things like fresh (well, over ripe) veg. cut into small bits.
