Red Cherry Shrimp

I was really hoping to have all of one sex because I'd like a mix of colors and rili, etc. but don't want to end up with reverted-colored babies....
Over here you pick what you want to get. But you have to know how to sex the livestock.
How about getting some fish to eat the eventual shrimplets?

I suppose that's possible. In fact, probable. I have a betta. I hate the idea of babies being eaten but that's reality. My plan is to get a few ghost shrimp to see if he bothers them. If he leaves them alone then I will go forward with my plan. I could always try some amano? They're too big for a betta to eat, right?

I can't comment on the ghost shrimp, but amano are ok. I have 2 amano living with a female betta, and they've been peaceful.

I've often thought about having a single shrimp in my tank to avoid overpopulation. Does anyone think that would be bad?
